WHAT IS YOUR REALITY?

Once in my life, I thought that when you are in Christ everything will be okay...
fools become wise
the Poor has plenty
struggle is overcome
prayers are answered
miracles happen
oppression will stop
sick are healed
dying are restored
dead are resurrected
But as I grow older, I realized another reality of being in Christ...
the faithful struggles
the poor remain poor
prayers are not answered
good people get oppressed
injustice happens
good people get abused
death occurs
suffering visits
sickness inflicts
troubles disturb
Then as I continue to go closer and deeper in the understanding of Christ, there is a much higher reality I came to understand. In this world, having Christ does not mean the absence of evil or a bad circumstance. But rather it means…
having Faith in sickness
having faith amidst seeming silence of God
having faith in trying times
having love amidst hostility
having peace in the storm
having perseverance in poverty
having contentment in lack
having assurance in loss
having hope in the darkness
having salvation for the lost
having redemption in sin
Because in Christ, the darkest moments happen to be the brightest revelation of HIS presence. In Christ, no one is a loser because we already know the story from beginning to its ending- Jesus won!
It is not our present circumstances that define the presence of God. What defines His presence is God’s character, God’s love- His perfect love towards His children.
Paul in the final argument of his presentation on justification wrote the most appealing God-centered assurance, Romans 8:35-39
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written:
“For your sake, we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Isn’t life hard? Yes, it definitely is, but we are not tired. Because for the children of God, it is not about who we are or where we are. What matters is not our circumstances but the reality that we live in Christ. Rich or poor; comfort or discomfort, Christ is our Emmanuel (God with us). He said it and we believe it!
I am inviting you to this reality because God's reality is much bigger and wider than our reality!

Hello, September. Thank you so much for this line of Grace. What a lovely reality! We are fixed to the one who loves us so- Christ! May this reality transpire in the lives of the many. There is hope, There is love, in Christ!
Praise God for our reality is not fixed in the world so broken and shattered, but to the One who loves us-- Jesus Christ our Lord!
