Colossians 1:9 “That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
In the world, we have been conditioned to aim for strength, achievement, status, and honor.
But in the process, we can experience setbacks, blame ourselves, and ultimately end up killing ourselves or bringing others down.
God's way is quite different.
We know God is with us in every situation and works in our hearts.
God teaches us in our experiences of suffering that we will never go beyond the limits of this world in our own strength.
He reminds us that His power is essential and leads us to seek and surrender to Him of our own free will.
When we accept each of God's actions towards us, His power flows into us in our weakness.
The more we are connected to God, the more our weaknesses, ugliness and imperfections are shown to us, but since it is God we are proud of, not us, the best time to praise and boast of God is when we are weak.
