Gospel Reflections #618: When we just believe

Romans 5:19  “For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.”

Through Adam's disobedience, disobedience has been built into our genes.

But instead of dismissing it as our own fault, God sees us as victims of sin, and He has worked out our deliverance from sin.

This means that we can inherit Jesus' image by believing in and accepting Him as our Saviour.

The way God offers us is not difficult.

The way is to believe.

It is not our actions that make our belief in God visible, but the result of the work of the Holy Spirit, which is given to us by our choice to believe in God.

All we can do is to know, believe and accept Jesus more and more.
