Matthew 11:29,30 “I am meek and humble, so take My yoke upon you and learn from Me. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, and you will find rest. For my yoke is easy to bear, and my burden is light."
Whether we realize it or not, we are all burdened and weary. We are all crushed by our burdens, and only Christ can remove them.
Jesus knows through His own experience what our weaknesses are, what our shortcomings are, and where the power to tempt us lies.
He knows through His own experience what our weaknesses are, what our shortcomings are, and where the power to tempt us lies, because He has tried to be like us in every respect and yet He did not sin.
That is why we can trust and entrust Him.
To share the yoke with Jesus means that he bears our burdens and walks with us, and we can see and taste every single thing he does.
Jesus' yoke does not feel forced, constrained, or limited.
Even when our path is bumpy, we are with Jesus, and when it's hard for us, He carries us on His back!
So let us lay our burdens on Jesus.
The peace we experience there is something we cannot get in this world.
