(A series in the book of Isaiah: Isaiah 44)

Let me share this quote,

“For Jesus, no one was beyond the reach of the gospel. Jesus certainly believed that “None have fallen so low, none are so vile, but that they can find deliverance in Christ” — Ellen G. White, The Desire of Ages, p. 258. Jesus looked at people through a different set of lenses than the rest of us do. He saw in each human being a reflection of the glory of the original Creation. He raised their thinking to grasp the possibility of what they might become, and many rose to meet His expectations for their lives.”

When I read those lines how I wished I have understood those truths long before. How my life could have been so different. In my desire to be upright and followed all the requirements set before me, I grew to be the standard for others. What I mean I only saw others in the perspective of myself and how I was so obedient and so fast to change. I thought I was changing but why I was growing critical and judgmental. A professor once said it is so easy to hide in all the behaviors the church wants us to do. It is so easy to hide in the right dress, the right diet, the right music, and the right demeanor. It is so easy to hide because you can really dress right, speak right, eat right, pray right, but remain unchanged and corrupt inside your heart.

When I came to know Christ, I was overwhelmed by the nakedness I have become. I knew of the hidden corruption my heart has been hiding for a long time. There was hatred, envy, jealousy, pride, and name all the critical spirit. I grew smaller and smaller each and every day. However, the smaller I became the joyful I came to be. Yes, friends the more I became dirtier, the more I appear weaker in front of my God the more joy I found. Finally, I came to surrender and said, “God please, I am yours. Do whatever you want to do to me.” I expected condemnation, but I received loved. I expected blame but I received unconditional acceptance. I did not drown into temptation but rather I grew into a different person. Finally, I felt life came to me and I felt growing. Finally, I found the joy that has filled my heart. I did not do anything, I just made a choice. The quote above says, He longs to save me more than I long to be saved. He already did everything even before I decided to submit myself to Him. GOD LOOKED AT ME BEYOND MY SINFULNESS. HE LOOKED AT ME IN WHAT I CAN BECOME WITH HIM. TODAY, I AM LIVING THE HAPPIEST TIME OF MY LIFE. GOD IS LONGING TO GROW YOU, YOO, WITH YOUR VERY ESPECIAL STORY. HE TAILORS OUR GRACE STORIES FROM WHO WE ARE IN HIM NOT IN WHO OTHERS ARE TO HIM.

Let me now point you to Isaiah chapter 44: 21-23,

21 “Remember these things, Jacob,

for you, Israel, are my servant.

I have made you, you are my servant;

Israel, I will not forget you.

22 I have swept away your offenses like a cloud,

your sins like the morning mist.

Return to me,

for I have redeemed you.”

23 Sing for joy, you heavens, for the Lord has done this;

shout aloud, you earth beneath.

Burst into song, you mountains,

you forests and all your trees,

for the Lord has redeemed Jacob,

he displays his glory in Israel.

God’s people in the Bible continued to make mistakes and fell into their erroneous understanding of God. Yet, God was always presenting, always reminding, and always showing the way back to Him.

Friends, there is no greater love than the love of God for you and me.

This love stands true for you today.

Jesus says, “Come, just as you are.”

You are His child, He knows you by name, and He wants the best for you, today.
