DO YOU HAVE THE REAL BUT UNREAL STORIES?
Have you noticed the real but unreal stories of life?
What are those?
The real but unreal stories that you are alone.
The real but unreal stories that no one is with you because you are too sinful.
The real but unreal stories that God’s favor will only be with you when you are good enough.
The real but unreal stories that your sins will stop God’s love for you.
REAL BUT UNREAL!
Yes, our sins separated us from the love of God but it did not stop God’s love for us. His desire to save us when we are still sinners is even an expression of the greatest love of all.
Yes, many times, we are alone because there are many things that our eyes are not seeing. We are not seeing the great fight between good and evil. We are not seeing that while we are feeling so alone someone is fighting the fight for us and with us.
Yes, we will never be good enough, but God’s love is not because we are enough. God knew we are helpless; God knew that on our own we are nothing and so our worth is seen in the fact the what Jesus Christ did for us is ultimately enough
The world is full of real but unreal stories.
These real but unreal stories were the very stories that caused our first parents to fall into sinning. They believed what Satan made them believe. They were told that they can also work things out on their own. There were made to believe that they can be like God in matters of their own decisions.
HOWEVER, did you know that as soon the curse of sin came to them and to the entire humanity, the first Gospel message was also announced by God? Genesis 3:14-15 express the Gospel spoken by God,
“14 So the Lord God said to the serpent,
“Because you have done this,
“Cursed are you above all livestock
and all wild animals!
You will crawl on your belly
and you will eat dust
all the days of your life.
15 And I will put enmity
between you and the woman,
and between your offspring[a] and hers;
he will crush[b] your head,
and you will strike his heel.”
Yes, that is how prepared God was with man’s fall. Even before it happened the plan was already laid out. Do you sense a deep attachment of God to us His created beings? Do you see that God did not just let go and decided to just kill Adam and Eve and made another One? Our God does not have in His vocabulary the word rejection and abandonment. Our God does not treat us worthless sinners. Our God even after we have sinned still gave us our dignity and showed us that He will come and rescue us from what we have put ourselves into. Even before we have sinned, God has intentionally made the plan to take us back again into His arms.
What Adam and Eve committed that fatal day was never an easy matter. It was a very serious matter that no man and not even angels will be able to compensate what was lost and what was broken. Our first parents committed SIN. It is breaking God’s law. There should be a payment to forgive what was broken and violated.
DESPITE THE GRAVITY OF MAN’S CHOICE.
The TRUTH is, He badly wanted us back. He badly wanted us back and make us enjoy the privileges of being His children. Only for us to be back, He gave Jesus Christ to die and take the very punishment we deserve.
This is the reality that will never be hidden forever—the reality that you are badly wanted by God back into His arms. He already has given everything for us to be back into His arms again. He has always longed for that day that you will be back in His arms. He doesn’t care how big or small a mess you have been to, He is only after you and your heart.
Friends, the reality will always prevail and the truth will never be hidden that GOD IS LOVE and HE LOVES US MORE AND MORE EACH DAY. People will soon be set free from the make-believe stories. People will find their freedom in the story of the One lifted up at Calvary to forgive the sins of the world.
People will be established in the reality of the Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End (Revelation 22:13), who is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow will always prove His promises true.
